Chances are you have come across Richard Yu on his YouTube channel or possibly on Instagram. He has recently been promoting his training course The High Performance Entrepreneur Program and I became curious about it.

The High Performance Entrepreneur Program by Richard Yu is a 6-lesson training course on how to create a high-ticket coaching business. It offers a great introductory price of $97 and includes several bonuses.

In this post, I’m going to cover what the program offers and give my opinion on whether it is worth considering.

I have been earning income online as an affiliate marketer and have come across many types of training programs.

Some of them I can tell right off the bat whether they are a scam or legit. I’d rather not waste my money without doing a bit of research first.

This is important to do your research first as some digital products such as this one do not offer a refund:

That being said, let’s dive into what this training program is really all about.

Impact Clients High Performance Entrepreneur Program

If you watch any number of Richard’s YouTube videos, you will get a basic understanding of what his training program is about and why he is selling it.

Here is some backstory from what I learned about Richard from his own YouTube channel.

Who is Richard Yu?

Richard Yu started his YouTube channel back when he was still a student at UCLA. Initially, he was pursuing a medical degree but found entrepreneurship to be his calling.

As a college student, he created a morning routine that enabled him to remain productive throughout his day.

A typical morning would start around 4 am with a cold shower and Bible study. He would then spend several hours doing his most important tasks for the day.

The remainder of his day consisted of going to class, working out, and some extra-curricular activities.

Richard’s routine didn’t change much when he became an entrepreneur himself. Before graduating from UCLA, he was able to obtain an internship with Vince Del Monte.

Vince Del Monte is a successful success coach and business owner. He took Richard under his wing and even taught Richard how to be an inside closer selling Vince’s own training products for high-ticket commissions.

Richard eventually started his own success coach business teaching others how to create their own high-ticket coaching products.

Before creating the High Performance Entrepreneur Program, Richard was promoting his coaching program through a webinar called High Performance Masterclass.

Is Richard Yu a Scam?

I do not consider Richard to be a scam artist at all. He has been operating his business for a few years now and has tons of client testimonials that offer amazing results.

He also seems accessible as he does have a Facebook group and does Q&A sessions often with his followers.

I think his intent is to help people generate large incomes online while growing his own business at the same time.

Offer something of value and that will naturally happen.

One thing to keep in mind is that Richard Yu’s course is high-ticket. Meaning, you will likely spend in the high 4-figures if you buy it.

High Performance Entrepreneur Tripwire Product

I’ve been doing online business long enough to recognize some of the more popular marketing strategies.

I think it was smart on Richard’s part to package up a product to sell as an introduction to his own high-ticket coaching program.

This type of marketing strategy is not new and works extremely well for building what’s referred to as a buyer’s list.

A tripwire product is a product that is sold for a lower price. Usually, these products are priced from $47 to $97.

When people buy these products, the product owner is building an email list of buyers.

Essentially, people who are willing to buy one of your products are hotter leads to buy your more expensive offerings.

Again, there is nothing wrong with this strategy and in fact, it is beneficial to the buyer as you get an inside look into what is to come.

The only downside is that you’ll likely be bombarded with phone calls to persuade you to buy the higher-priced products so be prepared for that.

What You Get with the High Performance Entrepreneur Program

Is it possible to learn Richard’s business model from his YouTube channel?

Yes, you can. However, you would have to search through all of his videos to piece it together and that is time-consuming.

What is great about the High Performance Entrepreneur Program is that he has compiled everything into one place.

On top of that, you get bonuses that you wouldn’t receive trying to find all of the information for free.

Here are what the lessons provide:

Lesson 1

The actual business model to learn how to earn $10K or more per month while helping others.

Lesson 2

How to find the right 6-figure idea that people will want to buy from you.

Lesson 3

How to become 100% qualified to run a coaching business

Lesson 4

How to charge a premium high-ticket price for your product.

Lesson 5

How to sell your product in a “non-sleazy” authentic and honest way.

Lesson 6

How to make a product that is actually life-changing for your customers.

Bonuses

  • Free 1-on-1 game plan call to map out your business
  • How to dominate your mornings
  • How to own your evening to have more time
  • How to overcome burnout

Is this worth the $97 price tag? I say so if you are genuinely interested in starting your own successful coaching business.

Who is This Program For?

The High Performance Entrepreneur Program isn’t for everyone. Although it is beginner-friendly, the coaching business isn’t going to appeal to everyone.

For example, I don’t like interacting with people all that much.

When I worked in the corporate world, I often had to speak with clients on the phone or attend meetings.

That was part of the job and I didn’t particularly like it. When I discovered affiliate marketing, it suited me better since there is never any customer interaction.

If you are going to invest in this program, you should be prepared to do the work necessary to build a coaching business.

That also means being willing to talk to your students as well as any potential students that want to enroll in your program.

You’ll likely communicate via phone or video conference calls. While you don’t need any prior experience, you should have a genuine interest in helping others.

An Alternative to a Coaching Business

If a coaching business doesn’t appeal to you, there is another online business alternative you can consider. It is affiliate marketing.

I am a full-time affiliate marketer and my online business model consists of creating niche websites and promoting various affiliate products on them.

Some of my favorite things that I like about affiliate marketing include:

  • Never need your own product
  • Nothing to pack or ship ever
  • No customer service issues to deal with
  • Choose to work in any niche you like
  • Work from anywhere with a WiFi connection
  • Tons of affiliate products you can promote
  • Unlimited earning potential

The method of creating a niche website is also low-cost and low-risk. You can get started for under $50 in most cases.

I learned how to build a successful niche website following the step-by-step training program found here.

Closing Thoughts On Richard Yu’s High Performance Entrepreneur Program

I think learning how to create a high-ticket coaching program is a great opportunity to generate a lucrative income online.

It is a good business model if your intent is to help people with what you have to offer. Coaching requires the ability to communicate well and often with your students.

Compared to other online business models, a coaching business probably requires a bit more of your time in terms of helping people in groups as well as one-on-one.

You have to be open to being a teacher and communicating often both to your students as well as potential students when promoting your services.

If there is anyone to learn from, Richard Yu definitely has the knowledge and experience under his belt.
